2022 MILLIS SUMMER BASEBALL TRYOUTS FOR AGES 8-12

Millis Youth Baseball will be holding Summer tryouts on Sunday, May 22nd (this does not include Senior Summer Baseball, a separate email will be sent for Seniors 13 and up)

Registering online is requested for everyone interested in playing summer baseball. Please register
if you can attend or cannot attend this weekend so that we have a listing of all players
interested in the summer season.
Note: No fees will be requested until later in May when the teams have been determined. If a player is not selected for a team there will be no fee.
About Summer League:
Teams play in a competitive league vs other towns in the surrounding area. Depending on how many players tryout there may not be a roster spot for every player that attends the tryout.
The summer season is a commitment and players are expected to be at most if not all games.
Age 7/8:
Ashland Sparkler Tournament and Summer Sizzler Tournament (we are hoping for two teams)
Cost: $200
The Sparkler Tournament is a competitive, 8 year old baseball tournament hosted by Ashland. The tournament provides an introduction to tournament play for 8 year old players. Rules are modified for this younger age group. It’s a fun atmosphere that gives the players a chance to compete against players from surrounding towns. The tournament runs from late June through July. It is an 8 game schedule (all games are played in Ashland at Gryncel Park); with seeded playoffs. All teams make the playoffs - single elimination.
Ages: 9-12:
Cost: $200
Summer Sizzler Tournament in Hopkinton: Summer Sizzler Tournament
The season consists of at least 10 regular season games and a single elimination playoff. Games played on either weeknights or weekends starting in mid-June and running until third week of July. Specific 2022 summer league details are still being worked out.

Tryout Schedule: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tryout time.

- 9/10U - 10AM
- 11/12U - 11AM

Coaching: If you would like to be considered for a coaching position please Volunteer as a coach through the registration system. Coaches will be determined by the MYB board once all tryouts are completed.
